We would like to apologize to anyone who missed our Facebook post about the cancellation of our AGM. This was a sudden cancelation the night before and I forgot to post here on our site that the meeting was cancelled. Please bear with us while we work on getting it rebooked.
Cheers Mike H
Hi Mike, it was nice for you to apologize for not notifying people who are interested in helping with the park but are unable to do so because LLPPA has closed its doors to people who would like to help with the park without financial gain. We both no these public meetings are cancelled every year since 2016, we also no LLPPA meets on a monthly basis. That being said, another surprise for the community, a shipping container has been placed in parking lot off of Old Sambro Rd. to store Kayaks for Poly Corps Adventure Co. A shipping container, Really I didn’t think you could make this area any more distasteful after the addition of the blue vinyl siding shed, A reminder this is a Provincial Park in a residential area, not a commercial or industrial zone . This is a far cry from what was originally going to placed there, A Pavilion, picnic tables, Kayak /Canoe launch etc.. the proposed items in what have been what people would like to see in a park. Even to look at this through the eyes of an investor, people want to see nice park items, as natural as possible. If the current LLPPA members are shooting for ugly and distasteful, you Nailed it. As mentioned before, myself and others would like to help with the park, it apparently needs it. Oh, the shipping container in the other parking lot is an eyesore also. Please Let us help the Park from further distasteful events.
Hi Darren
Thanks for the note, We have been working to create a membership for LLPPA and are now going to launch an application process on this website.
We do still have plans for more improvements to the park and we have not lost sight of what is needed. There is a canoe/ kayak launch off of Old Sambro Rd, and plans for another wilderness launch off of the main parking lot.
Cheers Mike H
