Long lake Provincial Park is a Pack In – Pack Out area, please take anything you bring into the park back home with you.
We stopped by to look at the new boat launch the other day and noticed that there are some kind of floats in the water blocking the end of the launch. Are they there to sop up some sort of spill? When can we expect that they will be removed so the boat launch can be used?

The silt booms are in place during construction, we hope they will be removed this week. They had to be in place during construction to protect the lake when working so close to the shore, to make sure any dirt does not get out into the lake. I’m counting the days until I can comfortably launch in Long Lake.
