Well here we are at another year for Long Lake Park being open for all to enjoy. It’s so nice to get the park cleaned up and the parking lots open for another season. The board of LLPPA would like to thank all those who came out on a beautiful morning Saturday to help us clean up the garbage and get the picnic tables back into place.

Please remember as you use the park that it’s everyone’s responsibility to care for the park, our board is made up of volunteers and this section of Long Lake Park receives no provincial funding, all maintenance for the trails, garbage collection, benches, and signage are provided by the park board with funding raised by the board.
So to help us continue to keep this section in good condition help us make our limited funding last as long as possible. If you can pack out what you pack in and place your garbage in your household waste, please do as garbage costs for us are fairly expensive. When swimming at the lake please take home your towels and clothing as it takes time to pickup the items left behind.

Also beware of the wildlife and plants in the park, snakes and lady slippers will soon be appearing in the park, please do not pick any plants or hinder the wildlife as this park is their home.
Soon people will be arriving at the Kayak launch to paddle around the lake, please be respectful of the loading and unloading parking spots , those parking spots are for people to easily get to enjoy boating at the lake. Do not park in these spots for any longer than it takes you to unload your boat.
Have a happy and safe season at our local park.
