Trails Strategy

August 7, 2019 by Martin Willison Leave a Comment

I attended yesterday’s announcement by the NS government about the new “Shared Strategy for Trails in Nova Scotia”. The document is 38 pages including pictures, so it’s not overwhelming. Natural Resources Minister Iain Rankin announced over $900,000 in trails funding, including $12,000 for the BLT trail (for repairing part of the trail) and $40,000 for the McIntosh Run trails, both of which almost connect to Long Lake Park. These are positive signs of progress. The photo shows Minister Rankin with Beth Pattillo, the chairperson of NS Trails Federation at the announcement held at the BLT trailhead.
