Large group of dog runners disturbed the park once again.

Normal dog walkers (on or even off leasg) are NEVER a problem here. Then a horde of 20 people jogging with dogs on waist with little or no control come pouring through the park. Terrifying other dogs, children, and elderly. They act like they oen the park and are entirely unapologetic for being a hugr disturbance.

Someone needs to look into this behaviour. Some seem okay, but there are a few in the group who come accross as the least accomodating, and self entitled group of park users to be seen here.

I witness one have the audacity to tell owner of a reating chihuahua beside a bench off leash their dog was a problem (was sleeping) despite the fact that the group was being a huge burden to all othet park goers.

      Hi Long Lake Patron

We are sorry you had a bad experience in our park, unfortunately as long as the people have their dogs on leash they have the right to run or walk in a provincial park. We will keep an eye on how the park is used and take action on anyone not following the rules of provincial parks.

      Cheers Mike H

There are numerous people now treating the park as a dog park and not leashing their dogs at all. As soon as they are not in sight of the parking area they are unleashing. As someone who is terrified of larger dogs they have completely ruined the park for me.

          Hi There

It is against Park rules to have a dog off leash in Long Lake Provincial Park, reports can be made to DNR or Halifax Police.
