The 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Long Lake Provincial Park Association will be held at the Captain William Spry Community Centre (16 Sussex Street) on Wednesday June 14th. The door to the meeting room will open at 7 p.m. The meeting will begin with a talk about the park and be followed by the business meeting to elect the Board of Directors for the coming year. Everyone interested in the park is invited to attend.
The talk by Martin Willison (retired professor, Dalhousie University) will be
Long Lake Provincial Park, What future roles might it play?
Thoughts about Long Lake Park in the context of Halifax in the future: a growing city in a world that is increasingly concerned about the environment and healthy living.
The business meeting will include a report on last year’s activities and a financial report, followed by election of the society’s officers for the coming year. The LLPPA hopes to elect new members to its Board of Directors.

Was the AGM Recorded? I would be interested in the link.
I was out of town so missed attending.
One of my concerns is the Trailhead maps/wayfinding signage at intersections, etc…confusing for any newcomers.
Martin Willison says
Thanks for this advice. We are working on replacing the old (and now useless) way-finding signs with new longer-lasting signage. We are hopeful that this task can be completed this year.
