Long Lake Provincial Park Association (LLPPA) – Job Notice
LLPPA will hire a student as Park Ranger for 8 weeks, 35 hours per week, pay $14.60 per hour as provided under the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Starting June 12th or 19th, 2023 (dates somewhat negotiable)
Requirements for applicants :
- Applicant is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- Applicant is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee
protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and - Applicant is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.

Brief Job Descriotion
When conditions are suitable, the Park Ranger will work in Long Lake Provincial Park located in Spryfield doing jobs such as trail maintenance, placing signs, monitoring park conditions and speaking with park users.
When conditions are unsuitable for outdoor work, the Park Ranger will assist with designing signs, posting webpages, general communications, conducting research, and otherwise providing help to volunteers.
