Benches repaired

The Lakeview Trail at Long Lake Provincial Park has many benches at rest stops in wooded areas along the trail. Some of these have been adopted as memorials. Long Lake Provincial Park Association maintains the benches to the best of our ability depending on availability of volunteers.

The Association has a limited budget for this work and help from local businesses is always greatly appreciated. In this case were are grateful to Kent Building Supplies for donating two-by-fours and fasteners.

In addition to materials, the Association seeks volunteers to take on park maintenance work. In the case of the benches we would like to find a couple of people who will erase graffiti. A problem with graffiti, as with litter, is that graffiti attracts more graffiti and so it is important to try to keep ahead of the ‘artists’.
