Our Annual General Meeting will be taking place on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, at 6:00pm at the Captain William Spry Community Centre in Spryfield. All are welcome; if you are going to attend, please let us know so that we can be sure to have enough chairs set up, etc. If anyone is interested in participating in our AGM virtually, let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you.<\/p>\n
Also, big thanks to our park visitors for helping to keep the park clean, in particular the members of the Rotary Club of Halifax Northwest who organized today’s community cleanup! Despite the garbage cans having been removed, we’re still seeing a number of dog poop bags accumulating in the park (and in the trees?), although we know that many of our park visitors have heard us. The transition to being a garbage-can-free park will be difficult for the first while. We will be installing additional signage, and engaging with park visitors in various ways to ensure that our message is getting through. Most importantly, we will soon be enlisting new volunteers to share the in the joy of helping to regularly clean up the park. We will be providing more information on this program in the coming days.
